Celebrating 32 Years of Leadership: Derek Louden Retires from APG

After an exceptional 32-year career, Derek Louden has announced his retirement from the A. Proctor Group (APG), marking the end of an era for the business.

Derek joined APG in a sales role and quickly made his mark through his drive, professionalism and genuine ability to build strong relationships. Over the years, he grew with the company, playing an integral part in its development and continued success. In January 2009, his contribution and leadership were recognised with his appointment as Operations Director.

Throughout his time with APG, Derek has played a key role in shaping the way the business operates. He helped steer the company through challenging periods, including the recession and the Covid pandemic, demonstrating steady leadership and resilience when it mattered most. Alongside this, he has built lasting relationships with colleagues, customers and partners, earning respect across the industry for his integrity, commitment and straightforward approach.

Derek will be hugely missed by everyone at APG, not just for what he has achieved professionally, but for the support he has given others, his sense of humour, and the positive presence he brought to the workplace.
