Profloor Dynamic Batten System was chosen by Jarvis Contracting, for a new affordable housing development of nine apartments in Watford. As well as meeting the aim of providing new affordable housing within the town, The goal of Introducing an invigorating built form into a post-war estate was also met.
The system supplied by the A. Proctor Group will be benefiting residents’ quality of life in the new block, Parsons Court in Moor View, thanks to its acoustic performance. The Profloor Dynamic Batten System is specified and detailed in a similar way to a standard batten for the purpose of supporting the chosen floor finish, but has the added advantage of providing effective isolation of the floor finish from the structure, reducing sound transmission.
Significant improvements in impact and airborne sound insulation can be obtained when using Profloor Dynamic Batten System within timber or concrete constructions. The versatile system is suitable for most domestic flooring applications and is ideal for multi-level buildings.
