The A. Proctor Group recently supplied Spacetherm® Aerogel blanket to Scottish Water for maintenance carried out on the Ericht Bridge, Blairgowrie. Working in conjunction with Morrison Construction, the A. Proctor Group developed a process that allows for water pipes to be laid at shallower depths where ground depth is restricted. 2 layers of 10mm Spacetherm® blanket was wrapped around the water pipe twice and was applied to the curved sections of pipe at our factory to save time on site. The solution significantly decreased the potential for freezing within the pipes and was considered a simple solution to Morrison Construction.
Spacetherm Aerogel has been used in many applications and markets, such as building and construction (thermal laminates), maritime, automotive and rail industries. The A. Proctor Group Ltd have over ten years fabrication experience with this material and work with many customers and partners to develop bespoke solutions and innovations. It is a key objective of The A.
