A wall build-up does not have to feature both products for the certification to apply. They have been assessed and certified individually, rather than as part of a wall system. Specifiers and installers can therefore have confidence that the membranes perform as stated, even if only using one of them.
That confidence is particularly important when it comes to reflective membranes and the enhanced thermal performance that can be claimed for air spaces adjacent to the membranes.
Proctorwrap Reflect and Reflectatherm Plus help to minimise the thickness of framed walls while achieving the low U-values that are critical to meeting building regulation targets.
Verification of product performance by an independent third-party is a thorough process. Obtaining Q-Mark certification includes the assessment of: factory production control process and procedures; initial type testing and technical appraisals; and ongoing factory surveillance, with annual auditing.
“We’re delighted that our production processes for Proctorwrap Reflect and Reflectatherm Plus have been assessed, and the performance of both products verified by BM TRADA for Q-Mark certification,” said Keira Proctor, Managing Director of Proctor Group “Independent third-party certification shows testing data but, more than that, it demonstrates a commitment to offering the marketplace high quality products in a responsible way.”
